"Documenting The Poetry In Life" | | | | 'Reflection In Red' - by Fariad | Fresh off my easel
Come see this and more like it in Indio @ The Southwest Art Show this weekend.
'I luv to paint and I am grateful that all of you allow me to.'
My brush lives, because you allow it, remember that...'Fariad I find pictures just about everywhere
This is a scene just out my front door.
The candles in the picture are East Indian Diyas they are used in the Festval of Lights-Divali.
I call this painting Karma 2 since there are 2 Diyas in the picture.
I love rythmic brushwork and here I use my knowledge of this brush to move the eye with the foliage over to the statue and the Diyas,
bringing the viewer back into my picture with the smoke.
Painting is a game for me and i enjoy playing it... Painting in Oak Glen is my thing,
I luv the people and the places I see right here
This is a hidden part of Oak Glen known to the locals
as the Baja of Oak Glen. My vacation to Palm Springs,
met this Raven there way up on the San Jacincto Ridge
You know when i went there I had the chance to see some incredible contemporary paintings,
and they were the inspiration for this piece-CAW Never thought that I would come so far away from my country of birth
-Trinidad in the West Indies - to paint My Grandfather's drums.
Life is a strange thing This is from Lucca - Italy
looks like heaven, with Angels walking through
I luv when I allow the brush to translate an image
For me painting is like talking- some times I am heavy winded - then sometimes,
no need to say so much. You know, when the economy fell recently I felt compelled to say something, so I painted Fallen
I am privileged to be an American, and it hurt to see the last couple of years, but I have hope and optimism, that this great land will rise up again,
I know, I sure am oppinionated for being an immigrant - Thanx for having me here this long...
